John Castagna is the Artistic Director of The Ballet Collective and an accomplished choreographer whose works have been presented on stages in the United States since 1982.   Recently, he choreographed works for Ballet Guatemala and New York's Staten Island Ballet.  Castagna's Sublime Song... was chosen to be presented on the PBS program "Classic Arts Showcase."  Piece by Peace, a collaboration with Lori DuPeron won an Emmy award.  He is a former member of the Rudy Perez Performance Ensemble and The IT Squad. Castangna holds a Master's Degree in Dance from the University of California, Los Angeles and a degree in Fine Arts. Maestro Stefan Wenta is Mr. Castagna's mentor.

Stefan Wenta is the Artistic Consultant for the Ballet Collective. Mr. Wents is also director of The Wenta Ballet of Los Angeles. A former principal dancer and choreographer of Warsaw's National Opera and Ballet, and partner of Paris Opera Ballet's prima ballerinas Yvette Chavvire and Lycette Darsonvol. He has performed in world tours of India, Asia, Indonesia, South America and Africa as the principle dancer of Fokine Ballets with French Theatre D'Art Du Ballet. Additional credits include: artistic director and choreographer of Western Ballet of Los Angeles; professor at Cal Arts; master classes in European Dance Culture at UCLA;  author, director, and choreographer for Polish TV, music, theater; and choreographer for MGM and 20^th Century Fox (Logan's Run, Fantastic Voyage, Our Man Flint and for Warren Beatty's "REDS.").  Wenta teaches classical technique at The Dancers' Studio.  .
